About Rainbow Connection Speech Pathology

Here at Rainbow Connection Speech Pathology it is our mission to provide high quality Speech Pathology services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to equip them with the tools they need to discover who they are and express their authentic, exceptional selves.

How we achieve this:

  • We are a mobile service: We come to you and provide therapy in your natural environments. We do this because this allows what you learn in therapy to transfer seamlessly into your everyday life.

  • We provide Evidence Based Practice: We stay up to date in the latest research to ensure you are receiving up-to-date therapy practices.

  • We utilise a strengths-based approach: We focus on what you enjoy and what you are good at and use this to help you achieve your goals

  • We offer family centred practice: We acknowledge that you are the expert when it comes to your child. As such, we value and respect your choices in all decisions related to them.

  • We tailor therapy to your child’s language processing type: Our Speech Pathologists are familiar with both Analytic and Gestalt language processing. They will meet your child where they are, and support them to develop their language in a way that is specific to their language processing type.

  • We value all forms of communication: Our priority is to get your child communicating and acknowledge this looks different for everyone! Our therapists are trained in traditional early intervention practices as well as a range of AAC options.

Kindness

We are kind, first and foremost: we strive to be understanding, empathetic and supportive. In putting kindness first, we are committed to creating a safe space to learn and grow.

Neurodiverse Affirming

We are a Neurodiverse Affirming practice: we value all neurotypes and celebrate individuals for who they are, we reject conformity for conformity’s sake.

Integrity

We work with integrity in everything we do: we are ethical and transparent, and always prioritise doing the right thing over all else.

Inclusion

We strive for inclusion in all aspects of our therapy, ensuring that all of our clients feel welcomed and comfortable in our practice.

Alice Hollier

Hi, I’m Alice! I am the founder of Rainbow Connection Speech Pathology! I became a Speech Pathologist because I love that I get to spend every day working with capable individuals, supporting them to gain independence and equipping them with the skills needed to advocate for their wants and needs. After working in the field for 9 years, I started Rainbow Connection Speech Pathology because I recognised a need for a more personal approach in the chaos of the NDIS.

I graduated with a Master of Speech and Language Pathology in 2016 from Macquarie University. Since then, I have worked for multiple reputable NGOs and not-for-profits, where I discovered my passion for working with Autistic people. This prompted me to return to University to complete a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies in 2022. When I am not working, I love spending time with my family.
